Friday Fun

For the inaugural Friday Fun piece, I'm going to share one of my delights in life: the TV show Merlin. It's concluded now, but the five seasons are hilarious. It's a re-imagining of Arthurian myth, with Merlin and Arthur approximately the same age. There's drama, but there's a lot of comedy as well. And, of course, both of the male leads are very, very nice to look at.

There's going to be a new Strokes album!

I can't tell you all how excited I am about the prospect of a new album by The Strokes. In a lot of ways, they are collectively my muse when it comes to writing.

I am dreadfully sorry I didn't post all last week; my day job had me working on a really long writing project (over 40k words in a week kind of long!) and I was bringing work home with me every night, so that by the time I stopped feeling guilty for the day, I was certainly not up to writing anything here.

But I should be back on track again soon, and in that vein, here is the video for The Strokes' new single, All The Time. I'll post later on in the week about progress on my own work.

For now, enjoy this lovely video and song, my dears!

Music Mondays: Albert Hammond, Jr. Again!

I know I posted a dong by Albert Hammond Jr. last week, but I'm still listening to the same album, essentially on repeat. So I post another tune here this week, since I'm doing Music Monday on time!

In other news: I am extremely excited to announce that I've sold 35 copies of Striking a Chord! I am extremely pleased with how well it's selling even with a fairly minimal amount of promotion. I appreciate each and every person who's bought a copy. If you have friends who you think will enjoy the book, by all means, tell them about it!

I've been so busy at my day-job that unfortunately I haven't been making much progress in writer-land. I'm waiting to hear back from some review sites, so hopefully I will have additional news to post here soon.
